This is the gilet that the WorldTour riders wear under their aero jerseys / race suits to provide warmth, comfort and an added aerodynamic advantage due to the texture and profiling of the fabric weave.

Whether you race, train, commute or explore, the "BurnR" will be your weapon of choice...

  • 3 semi-translucent mesh rear pockets
  • Seamless construction for close, aero fit with extreme comfort
  • Wind-blocking chest layer
  • Thermal, wicking fabric for all day warmth
  • Super close fitting but extremely stretchy for comfort regardless of body shape
  • Packs down very small for pocket fit
  • Dropped rear to keep your lower back protected with enough stretch to fit over your jersey pockets
  • Unique manufacture with beautiful woven-in detail
  • Can be worn as an outer, mid or base layer

The Spatz "BurnR" Gilet started with a blank piece of paper and a desire to produce the perfect gilet. Engineered of seamless construction, The "BurnR" sits snugly against your body for a super close, aero fit. The fabric is extremely stretchy for the ultimate in comfort, regardless of body shape or how you choose to layer.

Due to it's unique design and manufacture, the "BurnR" can be worn as an outer layer, a mid layer or even next to your skin. It packs up tiny and tucks into your back pocket mid race/ride with the minimum of fuss.

Nobody has ever created a gilet like this. It is totally revolutionary and will change your riding forever. A true four season garment.

BurnR2 Love this gilet!

Got this one with a Spatz jersey and really happy with my purchase. As is often the case, looked tiny out of the bag, but the size small is a nice snug fit for my 93cm chest, 70kg's weight and 173cm height.
Build quality is ace as you'd expect of Spatz.
Worked really well in Feb with a race layer, short sleeved jersey and some arm warmers.

Thank you very much!

Essential.bit of kit

I've tried numerous gilets fair weather gilets, cold weather gilets, that usually don't fit well in your back pocket. This one really does it all. The easiest Ive found to remove whilst riding . It takes up such a small space in your back pocket that you can't believe how warm it can be. Perfect for changeable weather, chilly descents as its so well fitted or even as a layer underneath. So versatile and Spatz quality.

Thank you Dean.

A heavyweight disguised as a lightweight

I’m not a prevaricator. I decide on cycling kit quickly and buy on impulse. However I looked at the Burnr about 5 or 6 times before committing. Even though I got it on a Black Friday deal £98 is a lot of money and I’ve loads of gilets. However I’ve always thought you get what you pay for and the Burnr is a classic example of that. It’s tiny out of the bag. I mean teeny tiny. It looks like it would barely fit an oompa lumpa never mind my 73kg frame 6,01 frame. I got the M/L but nearly went for the XL and I glad I didn’t. Once you put the burnr on and zip it up it morphs onto your frame. I got the red one and it looks superb. Sleek, super aero fit. My first trip out was in -4 conditions in the Yorkshire countryside. I took a chance and wore it over my Spatz baselayer and a medium outer jacket. I looked at myself in a few windows in Otley as I rode past (we’ve all done it) and damn I looked compact. But does it do the job of keeping you warm. Hell yeah. Spatz does it again. The super fine weave just grabs the warm air generated by your body and keeps it. In the thinnish outer jacket my arms were a little cool but my core was toasty. 3 hrs where my wahoo never got above -3 and the Burnr didn’t let me down. I just don’t see it failing in any British weather conditions and I can’t wait to wear it with just the Spatz baselayer in spring. Pricey yes but worth every penny.

Thank you very much Al.
