ATAK PAK Rain Jacket + Saddle Bag System

Every now and then, a product is designed that changes the way we dress to ride our bikes forever. At Spatzwear, we like to develop garments that improve your experience on the bike, regardless of the conditions. The Spatzwear "ATAK PAK" does exactly that. 

Brand new for AW25/26, the ATAK PAK is the solution to the age-old problem: You need to carry a rain/wind jacket, but you don't want the inconvenience of carrying one. The ATAK PAK is a water repellent, windproof, breathable, close-fitting jacket that stashes away quickly and easily into its own dedicated pack. The pack can then be securely affixed to your saddle (or rack, or bars, or stem...) using its own dial fastener. The jacket is permanently attached to its bag, and when the jacket is worn, the bag simply lays flat and is totally unnoticeable to you and others.

The ATAK PAK is a One Piece Design. The jacket is permanently affixed to the bag. Simply turn the bag inside-out to release the jacket and lay the bag flat against the rear flap of the jacket using the integrated loop fastener.

Tom Barras, Spatz Founder and designer, says he has been testing this product for 18 months, and it has been permanently tucked away unnoticed behind his saddle. It is only used when the weather dictates an extra layer is required. When the rain stops or the pace hots up, the jacket is quickly tucked back into its bag and fastened back on to his saddle, handlebars or stem.

Gone are the days when you would need to carry a bulky jacket in your back pocket. The jacket is always there when you need it, and the bag design frees up room in your jersey pockets for bars, phone, spares, and gloves. It is an elegant, practical solution to an age-old problem.

The jacket itself is a featherweight, close-fitting jacket with long arms and a dropped rear. Water simply beads off it, and the fabric is highly breathable and dries in an instant. Taped seams keep the moisture out and the quality up.

Subtle, reflective logos add classy detail, and elasticated cuffs and a premium zipper facilitate easy use and comfort.

At Spatz, we are lifetime cyclists. We are in the enviable position of being able to design and engineer the garments that we want to wear on our winter epics in the Yorkshire Dales. The ATAK PAK epitomises this philosophy. You will wonder why nobody has developed this system before...
