In 2006, we had the idea for the original Spatz knee-length overshoe. In 2017—after a career in the peloton—we brought them to market and quickly became leaders in overshoes and extreme-condition cycling apparel.
For 2024/25, we’ve drawn on all our experience and rider feedback to create the Spatz Pro Stealth Overshoe System. After countless hours of testing in extreme conditions, we’re confident this overshoe system will once again rewrite the rulebook of overshoe design. There has never been an overshoe like this—and it will change the way you ride in the cold forever. It is simply unparalleled for cold and wet weather riding. The 2024/25 version is updated with Protoez toe warmers, cut specifically for ease of use and incredibly easy to put on and take off.
Designed as a two-part layering system, the Pro Stealth Overshoes ship together with the Protoez Toe Warmers. The overshoes can be worn alone in temperatures above 3–5°C. When the temperature drops, we recommend adding the Protoez underneath. Worn together, the cleverly designed silicone seals (on the inside and outside of the toe warmers) integrate perfectly with the seals inside the overshoes—forming a barrier that drastically reduces water ingress and creates unmatched insulation.
In addition to enhanced warmth and water protection, the Pro Stealth Overshoes are made from a combination of materials not previously used in cycling. Throughout the design and development process, we focused on toughness, resilience, comfort, longevity, water resistance, and aerodynamics. The overshoes combine Kevlar-covered neoprene, tough Cordura-covered neoprene, and super-flexible nylon-covered neoprene. Each material is strategically placed to suit the demands of its panel, creating a system that moves with the rider and resists wrinkling or creasing in motion. The overshoes form a seamless transition from bib tights or leg warmers—achieving both aesthetic appeal and aerodynamic efficiency.
The entire bottom opening of the overshoes is lined with two rows of silicone aqua seal, locking against the Protoez toe warmers and your cycling shoes. Vertical strips of silicone run along the leg to keep the overshoe snug as you pedal, regardless of leg size. The shin area features a thermal lining to provide warmth where it’s needed most. At the rear, 1mm Lycra-covered neoprene ensures exceptional flexibility and ease of use—they’re easy to pull on and articulate beautifully in motion.
Despite their supple, comfortable feel, the Pro Stealth Overshoes use neoprene that is incredibly tough and resistant to nicks and rips. Branding is subtle and stealthy, yet highly reflective—catching the glare of headlights for enhanced visibility.
We’re extremely proud of this product. It has allowed us to ride and train in conditions that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. If you’re looking for an overshoe system to get you through winter—and outperform anything else on the market—the Pro Stealth Overshoe System is for you.

Today was my first test of these in a 2 degree Celsius ride with wind of 26km/h never felt so happy with them in my feet. My feet stayed warmth the entire ride. Now I’m tempted for the gloves.
Bought these after being told by loads of fellow riders that I was wasting money on cheaper alternatives.
Worn all winter, and my usually cold feet have been much warmer and notably drier which is a big bonus. I bought the size that the guide suggested and I reckon I am at the very cusp of needing the size up so that is something to take into account but I won't be going back to the alternatives!
Loved these so much that after an unfortunate crash shredded mine, I came back for second pair. I've worn these through rain, snow, and gross slushy mixes, and they've kept me warm and dry every time. They're so warm that I still haven't had the chance to try them with the smaller protoez warmers under the big overshoe, but seems like an awesome concept.
Would 100% recommend, again and again!
Once on they are fab. Took me ten mins to get them on for the very first time but by eck they are fab.
Inspired after doing a bit of research following one long, very wet, very cold ride this winter here in Portland, OR, I grabbed these without having ever heard of this company before. The reviews on the website seemed almost too good to be true, but having no prior knowledge of these folks I was slightly skeptical. Having now used this shoe system for some half a dozen rides, all of which were in lower temperatures and at least partially wet, I am simply blown away, running out of superlatives already as I proselytize to all my friends. Most products in cycling often feel like a marginal upgrade on what has been done before, and while technically shoes covers are nothing new, this system feels like a bona fide solution to a vexing, longstanding problem. The feel, the comfort, the design, the quality, it's all there, and I am a fan. Once you've achieved perfection, no need to stray.
