The brand new Spatz Aquasokz (Lo version) were designed specifically for the Alpecin Deceuninck Pro Cycling Team. The requirement was an aero focussed product that excelled in wet conditions. (Click HERE for the Hi version).
The Aquasokz are made from 100% waterproof fabric (PU coated lycra). To satisfy the needs of Worldtour riders, the aim is not necessarily to keep the feet dry but to keep the rider comfortable and fast in adverse conditions.
In contrast to our Aquasokz Hi version, the Aquasokz Lo stop at the ankle so you can let your Aero Sokz do their thing.
Aquasokz Lo have been wind-tunnel optimised at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub wind tunnel. Results show that Aquasokz Lo offer a marginal aerodynamic benefit over Windsock2 and as such are the perfect choice for wet / cold days or changeable weather conditions. A fast option for events where you want every advantage, but the weather may be less than ideal.
Features:
Seams are positioned strategically right where you need them. Designed to make the most of the wind and ensure race-long comfort.
Flat stitching around the foot to lay seamlessly against your shoe. A genuinely beautiful design which is a pleasure to wear and use.
Be aware that as a specialist product, Aquasokz are less forgiving in the ankle area than our legendary Windsokz and are as such harder to get on. After use, the fabric becomes much more pliable and they become very easy to use. It is important that these are rolled up your shins BEFORE your cycling shoes are put on.

Low-Cut Design — Stops at the ankle to layer perfectly with Aero Sokz and maximise aerodynamic advantage.
Kevlar Toe Reinforcement — Reinforced toe area resists nicks, tears, and damage from wet-weather abuse.
Locked-In Fit — Dual silicone grippers and a hidden Velcro cleat strap keep the overshoe securely in place under race stress.
Hi Spatz.
Originally I purchased the Windsock 2 in size M. They look great. Fabulous fit on my shoes. They didn’t slip down. But, they did roll down. This is probably due to shape and size of my calf muscle rather than a design flaw as other reviews would suggest. I was able to resolve this with a lot of hairspray. This prompted me to buy the Auqasokz Lo in M as they are a perfect fit on my shoe. I’ve worn them with my other recent purchase the Pro Sokz. These are now my favourite cycling socks. I can’t fault them in any way. A simply wonderful product. I would like to purchase some Aero Sokz but, I’m afraid that if I buy the smaller size to fit my feet the tops will roll down like the Windsock. For reference my calf where the Pro Sokz top out measures 34cm in circumference. Would the larger size be more suitable? Look forward to your thoughts.
Spatz make great products. Keep up the good work
After having bought the wrong mode the first time the team were fantastic at an exchange and getting me the right ones.
